This lifting stand helps you safely remove and reinstall your truck bed top by yourself. No garage ceiling needed. You bolt together the wood beams for use and easily disassemble the parts for storage when not in use.
Just back up your pickup so the center of the lifting stand lines up with the center of your canopy. Lift one corner of the canopy at a time and slide a board under each end of the top. Attach straps around each board and connect the straps to the center ring. Lift the entire canopy using the winch and pull the truck ahead after lifting the canopy an inch or two. The canopy can now be winched down to ground level for storage. An alternative to the winch is racheting straps.
The page will be updated as I make progress building this unit.
